Not quite; Bing doesn't seem to have the image capabilities that the demo showcases. I tried feeding Bing an imgur link and asking it to explain to me what it was; it couldn't do it.
I've been doing this more and more. Especially when working remote and needing some eyes on an idea or a concept.
I'll have it look at KPIs I've jotted down for a SaaS and ask it to recommend some that I may have over looked.
I had it help out with some narrative structure for a pretty basic dialog in a novel I'm writing and I was able to pull it, edit it and at least keep the conversation moving.
In my limited practice with generative AI tools so far, this "unstick yourself" approach to AI has been the most beneficial in dealing with creative block. In a way, the metaphor of "Digital Muses" comes to mind with a nod to the nine muses from Greek mythology and the source of creative inspiration.
Thank you for your consistently thoughtful and thought-provoking posts, Ethan.
Currently, it seems that there is not nearly enough discussion about the lure/danger of a faceless UI like Bing Chat. For example, no doubt some of your readers identify with "Unsticking the personal" in this post. However, such potential leverage of something like Bing Chat to overcome that kind of inertia involves transitioning from a known (perhaps intimidating and possibly caring) individual to an unknown set of (faceless, uncaring, possibly irresponsible) individuals.
What do you think? Have you found solid voices or content that regularly present such concerns, offering solutions or at least clear warnings?
Thanks for this. I used it to update my Instagram bio which I've had for years. If anything, it was at the very least, a pleasant change. And how many of us have been stuck with our social media bios? Fed it a longer bio I had at the ready and asked it to extract an elevator pitch. 💯
Thanks for adding another useful thing AI can do to my mental model.
Question, when you ask Bing to read Cormac McCarthy or Vonnegut, did you already know those writing guides existed, or did you look them up beforehand?
ChatGPT4 incoming! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=outcGtbnMuQ
Its Bing. Already in here

These chatbots have changed the world and I don’t think any of us are able to fully comprehend it yet.

"Getting started" and "Momentum"
Those are the keywords.
AI for sure helps with those.
Of the two - ChatGPT / Bing AI - which one is your personal favourite? Why?
Great post!
Bing is powered by GPT, it’s roughly the same thing with Bing using a newer version than gtp atm
Great post!
